Repsol Honda don’t often change their livery for races, but this weekend at Aragon the Repsol Honda MotoGP team will run with a new livery for race day.
The new design is being created by Spanish clothes designer David Delfin.
Here is a vieo below showing a preview on the Repsol bikes being installed in David Delfin’s studio. There is no real shots of he new design yet – you’ll have to wait until Sunday for that.
Offical Repsol Press release:
Repsol selected designer David Delfin to create the change of image of the bike and its MotoGP riders overalls, that will only be seen next Sunday at the Motorland Grand Prix race.
The new design breaks with the previous image and highlights the modernity and strength that accompanies a team that already has more than 40 years of experience in Motorsport.
During the creative immersion process, Davidelfin visualized the bike in a unique and special way. Keeping in mind the riders that form the team, he has been inspired by superheroes and supermen, human cannonballs and in the show in all its aspects. The result is a design characterized by five-pointed stars which, together with the Repsol logo under the Davidelfin typography, gives the bike and overalls a unique personality, far away from the rest.
The new design will be presented worldwide in the next Motorland Aragon GP on September 18th 2011. Video courtesy of Repsol Media.
