No real surprise to see Casey Stoner topping the first MotoGP Free Practice session in Qatar, however, it’s a huge surprise to see Hector Barbera in third and Valentino Rossi finishing higher then both factory Yamahas in 5th place.

Stoner ended the session over half a second clear of the rest of the pack.
