Ducati’s annual PR event, Wrooom kicks off later today giving fans the chance to see Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi officially unveiled in the 2011 Ducati livery.

The usual PR stunts and events will be taking place all week at the Italian ski-resort of Madonna di Campiglio, including the ice-kart racing on a frozen lake, which should see Valentino Rossi compete against Fernando Alonso (asuming his shoulder injury doesn’t get in the way).

Ferrari and Ducati torchlight. Welcoming with mulled wine

Thursday 13th
5.30pm – Canalone Miramonti
Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers meet the public

10.30pm – Spinale slope
Ferrari and Ducati. Welcoming with mulled wine

Friday 14th
4.45pm – Iced lake
Challenge Exhibition. Ducati and Ferrari pilots race on the iced lake
