MCN’s Matt Birt has confirmed, via twitter(see image), that Valentino Rossi has been given permission by Yamaha boss Masao Furusawa to test the Ducati after the final race in Valencia.

Rumours were growing that Valentino Rossi would potentially opt to miss the last two races in order to have an operation to mend his injured shoulder, however, with this news it is almost a certainty that Rossi will now complete the season, before hopping on to the Ducati for his first time after the Valencia race.
