Julian Simon took his 3rd pole position of the season at Sepang to keep his ambitions for the Championship alive. Despite taking pole position, Simon’s Championship dreams are mostly out of his control as Toni Elias, who will start from 4th on the grid, only needs to take 7 points more than Simon to claim the world title.
