Jorge Lorenzo’s MotoGP Championship odds swung in his favour even more today, as Dani Pedrosa broke his collarbone in the Friday MotoGP practice session at Motegi – Pedrosa is expected to be ruled out of the next 3 races.

It was Valentino Rossi that topped the practice times by snatching the fastest lap time away from Andrea Dovizioso on his final lap of the session. Dovi was 2nd and Jorge Lorenzo took 3rd place.

Ben Spies was once again the leading rookie, but Hiroshi Aoyama put in a strong showing at his maiden MotoGP session at Motegi by finishing in 6th.
