Marc Marquez showed a cool head today in a bizarre 125cc race that saw Marquez crash into the gravel, start from last position, and take victory:

Marc Marquez took victory in an action-packed 125cc race that saw the Spaniard get to 2nd position after starting from 11th until rain stopped racing. Marquez had an incredible start off the grid to immediately start challenging Nicol Terol for the lead by the third turn.

The race was restarted as a 9 lap sprint after rain caused the race to be red flagged. Marquez crashed on the sighting lap before the restart and failed to make it out to the grid before the pit lane closed and was forced to start from last position.

Again, Marquez got off to an unbelievable start and found himself in third position after a few turns. Bradley Smith was the perfect team-mate as he managed to block and slow Marquez pretty effectively for a number of laps. Marquez had too much speed and evantually passed Smith to have a clear run on Terol and then it was only a matter of time until he took the lead and the victory.

Pol Espargaro saw his Championship dream shattered as he gambled on wet weather tyres for the restarted race – the rain threatened, but never really came and Espargaro finished in 10th position.
