MotoGP riders and bikes from all three classes (125cc, Moto2, MotoGP) descended on the streets of Vienna to give demos and drive-bys for the crowds. The event was held as a publicity stunt for this weekend’s Brno MotoGP.
The riders that took part were:
MotoGP:
- Ben Spies – Monster Yamaha, Tech 3
- Mika Kallio – Pramac Racing Team
- Alex de Angelis – Interwetten Honda
Moto2:
- Toni Elias – Gresini Racing Moto2
- Julian Simon – Mapfre Aspar Team
- Thomas Lüthi – Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2
- Karel Abraham – Cardion AB Motoracing
125cc:
- Marc Marquez – Red Bull Ajo Motorsport
- Bradley Smith – Bancaja Aspar Team
- Randy Krummenacher – Stipa-Molenaar Racing GP

Alex de Angelis said:
“This was a very different experience for me to ride the race bike on a normal street,” he said. “We did not ride fast as it is too dangerous, but it still was a lot of fun. Vienna is a very nice city and it was my first visit there. The visit at the Interwetten office was nice and interesting as well, as everybody was very kind and welcoming.”
