Dani Pedrosa snatched pole position from Ben Spies (yes, you read that right, Ben Spies) in the closing minutes of the MotoGP qualifying session at Brno. Pedrosa was strong in the final split all session and managed to shave three tenths off the time set by Ben Spies.

The closing minutes of the session were a hectic affair and saw crashes from Barbera, Lorenzo, and Rossi – all were unhurt.
