Toni Elias took a hard forght victory in Brno, and also claimed the 100th podium for the Gresini team in the process.

Aftre being banned from the Friday practice session, Elias looked focused on the grid and the early part of the race was an aggressive affair with 6 riders all exchanging places and challenging for the lead. Andrea Iannone had an especially impressive race fighting his way from 9th position to 1st position in a handful of laps.

Roberto Rolfo also had a short spell leading the race until an engine failure put paid to his hopes. Elias and Iannone were left to battle for the victory until tyre problems saw Iannone start fading and he was eventually overtaken by Yuki Takahashi, losing out on second place in the process.
