Roger Lee Hayden has been named as a potential replacement for Randy de Puniet at next weekend’s US MotoGP at Laguna Seca.
Randy de Puniet suffered a broken leg in a crash at the German MotoGP and is expected to be out of action for a while. Roger Lee Hayden has been put forward as a solid replacement for de Puniet for the US MotoGP due to his local knowledge of the challenging Laguna Seca circuit and would hopefully help the LCR Honda team to remain more competitive and in the points.
If Roger Lee Hayden is confirmed then it will mean there will be 4 US riders competing in the US GP (Ben Spies, Nicky Hayden, Colin Edwards, Roger Lee Hayden).
