Andrea Iannone dominated the Italian Moto2 race to take an easy victory – from the start of the race Iannone quickly gapped the rest of the grid and was never challenged throughout the entire race.

There was a frantic battle for the remaining places on the podium between Elias, Corsi, Tomizawa, Luthi, and Gadea – with Gadea taking 2nd place and Corsi taking 3rd.

Elias finished in 5th which is enough for him to extend his lead at the top of the Championship standings.
