Speedweek.de , a well respected and well conected publication in the world of racing is reporting that Casey Stoner has indeed signed to race for the factory Honda team for the 2011 season, and they even go on to claim that Honda managed to secure his services for 5 million euros per year, in a move that would see him team up once again with Livio Suppo.
There has been no further speculation as to which of the current Repsol Honda riders (Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Doviozioso) would have to make way to allow Stoner into the team, but you can only assume that Stoner would be hired as the leading rider.
If true, then Stoner would be the first of ‘the aliens’, who are all out of contract at the end of this season, to secure their 2011 ride.
