Andrea Iannone continued his dominant form this weekend at the Dutch GP. Iannone broke free from the rest of the Moto2 field almost instantly and started gapping the other riders. Iannone managed to maintain an untouchable pace giving him victory by well over 4 seconds.

Elias and Wilairot entertained the crowd with a battle for second place that saw them contuniously trade places as each rider showed their strengths on differing parts of the Assen circuit. Whilst this battle was going on, Thomas Luthi managed to creep up and turn it into a 3 way scrap for 2nd place – and whilst Luthi started to challenge Wilarot, Elias took the opportunity to edge himself just far enough ahead to secure second, while Luthi took third.
