Jorge Lorenzo took a masterful victory in the French GP and extends his lead over Valentino Rossi in the Championship standings.
Casey Stoner’s bad luck continued as he once agian crashed out of the race for the second time this season. Loris Capirossi and Ben Spies also failed to finish the race.
Dani Pedrosa looked to be a comfortable third for the majority of the race until a late surge by Andrea Dovizioso put both riders neck and neck, Dovizioso managed to make a stong pass on Pedrosa stick in the final lap to claim the last place on the podium. Pedrosa looked like he was having issues with the bike and Nicky Hayden was able to pass him and take 4th position when Pedrosa ran wide on one of the turns.
