The latest installment of the MotoGP video game series is now available.
The last entry into the MotoGP series was a little disappointing and for this new version, Capcom have gone back to the drawing board and tried to create a game that appeals to casual gamers, as well as true MotoGP racing fans that want to experience more of a simulation.
So what have they changed?:
This time, Capcom has included the 125cc and the 250cc class, as well as the MotoGP class. All the riders, bikes, and designs are all authentic and as a player you can opt to take control of a rider for a season, enter a quick race, or you can start the career mode that gives you more control over the experience and makes you responsible for decisions off the track such as sponsorship, garage development etc…
Initial experiences and reviews of the game suggests that whilst it is a lot of fun, the career mode doesn’t provide the depth that is standard in other sporting games (say FIFA for example). Also, the teams, the livery, and the riders are all from last season, but Capcom have promised that updates for the 10/11 MotoGP season will be available as downloadable content during the season. Cheapest prices that we have seen so far are on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk .
