Hiroshi Aoyama has signed up to race for Honda in 2010 in the MotoGP class. Daniel Epp (who currently owns 250cc team “Emmi Caffe Latte”) has negotiated to put a 7th Honda on the grid for 2010 and will field Aoyama as the sole rider.
Aoyama’s move means that the current 4 top riders in he 250cc series will all be in MotoGP in 2010 (Simoncelli, Barbera, Bautista, Aoyama).
Daniel Epp:
“We are pleased to announce that we have completed a deal to run a Honda RC212V in the MotoGP class in the 2010 season. After winning the World Championship in 2005 with Tom Lüthi on the 125cc Honda, it’s a great pleasure for me to join up again with Honda. Now, after all these years we have finally been able to achieve our dream of presenting a MotoGP project. We are proud to become part of the premier class of motorcycle Grand Prix racing.”
