We’ve been going back through some books on our Motorcycle racing bookshelf and can reccomend ‘Colin Edwards: The Texas Tornado’ by Bertie Simmonds. This isn’t a new book, and it doesn’t cover Colin’s career in MotoGP – instead it covers Colin’s motorcycle racing career up to the point where he became World Superbike Champion and chronicles the highs and lows of the series. This is an officially authorised biography and with a subject as fascinating and as straight talking as Colin Edwards it’s always amusing.
Product Description
At the last round of the 2002 World Superbike Championship, America rider Colin Edwards overhauled season-long title favourite Troy Baylis in two of the most exciting motorcycle races ever held. This authorised biography of the straight-talking, no-nonsense Texan chronicles the highs and lows of a colourful career played out during the glory years of World Superbike. Here is a unique insight into the sometimes controversial world of the double superbike champion, who for 2003 embarks on his toughest challenge yet – joining the MotoGP class with Aprilia.
