Alvaro Bautista and Marco Simoncelli are both expected to make to move to MotoGP for 2010, with Simoncelli expected to move to the Yamaha Tech 3 team (although this is far from a done deal), and Alvaro Bautista looking more certain to join Suzuki to replace Chris Vermeulen (although Capirossi is out of contract at he end of this season, so this could potentially change who ultimately gets replaced).
The Bautista deal seems more concrete with an offer on the table already, and it is reported that Suzuki are pushing for a decision by the Catalunya MotoGP, which is now less than 2 weeks away.
Spanish sources told MCN: “There will be more meetings with Alvaro’s management in Barcelona. He would prefer to wait a bit longer, but it seems Suzuki is very keen for an answer.”
