Ducati are certainly getting their pound of flesh already from Nicky Hayden by capitalising on his nationality and holding an event on the 23rd January to “Welcome the ‘Kentucky Kid’ Nicky Hayden To The Family In Style”…

……..by saying “Welcome in style”, Ducati Corse actually mean parade him around in a US Ducati dealership, sign some things, and attend a charity auction where people have the chance to win various Ducati items, and perhaps most bizzarely a Nicky Hayden signed Lavazza Espresso Machine! Someone please go and video this, put it on youtube and send us the link.

The event is being held at Southern California Ducati’s newly redesigned dealership and include a silent charity auction benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Michael Lock (CEO of Ducati North America) said:
“We are thrilled to have an American rider on the Ducati Marlboro MotoGP Team and look forward to giving him a proper U.S. welcome to the Ducati family. Nicky is a very talented World Champion and racing fans will look forward to cheering him on.”

Doors open at 7:30 PM where guests will have a chance to take part in a Q&A with Nicky Hayden while bidding on items during the silent auction. Some of the highlighted auction items include:

· Limited edition Nicky Hayden Tissot watch
· Casey Stoner signed helmet
