Earlier this year Ducati announced that they were manufacturing limited numbers of the Desmosedici RR (RR stands for Racing replica) – it’s basically a street-legal version of the Desmosedici GP6 Ducati ran in the 2006 Moto GP season and its crammed with features that you’ll never get the benefit of on a regular road, such as top of the range carbon fibre bodywork. It’s basically as close as you’ll come to having a GP spec bike sat outside your house. The initial run of bikes sold out almost instantly, but now Ducati have ‘found’ a few more and you can secure one for yourself…..if you have $72,500 sitting in your bank account, which I’m sure you do. Its not disclosed exactly how many are up for grabs, but if you are an image-conscious millionaire with cash to burn who has never heard of the words ‘credit crunch’, then Michael Lock, CEO of Ducati has a message for you:
Michael Lock, CEO of Ducati North America said:
“We are fortunate to offer a few units to those interested individuals who were closed out of the initial ordering process. As the global run of 1,500 bikes comes to an end we are notifying interested parties that we have secured inventory to deliver in the coming months; but only if they act quickly.”
You heard the man, act quickly now….
